Nylon is often coated with plasticisers to seal it, but in hot, pressurised aircraft cabins, these coatings can break down and release harmful VOCs.
It’s prone to stretching, sagging, and air loss over time.
Nylon becomes bulkier and heavier when coated, making it less practical for long-haul family travel.
