Covid Travel Insurance
In times like these, travel insurance has never been more important. For the past two years, travel insurance companies have steered clear from providing any COVID-19 related cover...thankfully now there are options to be insured for some COVID-19 related expenses when you travel in 2022 and beyond.
It is important to note that no insurance company will cover you for every scenario resulting from the global coronavirus pandemic and some won't cover you at all.
Cover More Travel Insurance provides the most comprehensive options that I have found so far. They provide several COVID-19 travel insurance benefits across their international and domestic plans to help you book and travel with confidence.
Here are the International Covid Cover options that they have available:
Depending on how many are travelling and how long you are traveling for, you can expect to pay between $200-$800. I highly recommend getting an Annual Multi Trip Pass if it's possible you will be travelling more than once in a year. For a family of 4, this is approx $1000 for comprehensive cover.
To check out other travel insurance options, go to Travel Insurance Saver and look up the cover and rate that suits you best.
Important reminder: No travel insurance cover is provided if you enter a country with an active “Do not travel” warning from the Australian Government. To find out the current overall advice rating of your intended destination, visit Smartraveller’s destinations page.
